Artem Badenko

Tenor saxophonist, originally from Rostov‑on‑Don.
Studied at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen, Netherlands, and at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. In 2021, worked with Igor Butman’s orchestra, then continued his studies at the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance at UCLA in Los Angeles, USA.
Winner of the DownBeat 43rd Annual Student Music Award in the “Jazz Soloist” category and finalist of the 2019 Michael Brecker International Saxophone Competition.
Currently a lecturer at the Moscow State Institute of Culture, where he teaches saxophone and improvisation and leads the Big Band.
