Evgeny Ponomarev
Evgeny graduated from St. Petersburg Mussorgsky College of Music in 2002 and Saint Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts in 2007. He taught musical arrangements in Mussorgsky College of Music from 2006 to 2008 and worked as a musical director of the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd over more than 6 years. In 2017, he presented his author’s program for the quartet featuring A. Polovko, G. Voskoboinik and P. Mikheev.
In the two years of the quartet’s history the musicians played concerts at large venues in St. Petersburg, including The Small Hall of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonia and the New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre, the best jazz clubs in Moscow (Igor Butman Club, Alexey Kozlov Club, Esse jazz clubs), tooked part in The Jazz Across Borders forum & festival and The International Jazz Day, performed at numerous festivals – Brodsky DRIVE, Rainy Days Jazz Fest and released their debut album NN Song.
